STARLING
B.Des Industrial Design (Transportation) (Hons)
Diploma of Building Design (Dist)
I’m a designer driven by curiosity and problem solving - with combined experience in signage and architectural drafting.
In signage, I ensure that projects start out right with accurate design foundations and a clear path for production to follow. I’ve contributed to manufacturing, large-format printing, brand activations, national retail rollouts and airport duty-free campaigns for global liquor and perfume brands - work that demanded collaboration, accuracy, and brand integrity.
Alongside this, I’ve worked in high-end residential architecture with leading studios in Canberra and Melbourne, driving projects from 3D concepts through to construction. Skilled at balancing client needs, builder input, and compliance, I bring creativity, precision, and adaptability to every project.
I’m excited to bring this mix of creative and technical experience to a team dedicated to delivering bold, memorable brand experiences.

Rolls and Responsibities
Produce detailed shop drawings, including 3D renderings from client supplied project briefs for approval and internal manufacturing.
Close collaboration with internal team members and suppliers to ensure the optimal outcome for the final delivered product.
Create CAD and vector files for in-house manufacturing and out-sourced components.
Reflections and acheivements
I thoroughly enjoyed the in-house production environment, where I could collaborate with co-workers on pre-production workshopping, problem-solving and refining project fabrication and finishes before and during production. I also jumped on any opportunity to be hands-on with manufacturing whenever possible.
Taking on the additional role of CNC operations during a transitional staffing phase, despite no prior experience, and subsequently re-building the workflow from ground-up and facilitated the onboarding of a replacement team member.
Working closely with the production manager to develop efficient manufacturing solutions for complex and time-sensitive projects, aiming to optimise both time and cost factors.

I worked in the Canberra-based sales and design office, supporting the Goulburn, NSW head office and production facility. In a small team alongside the sales manager, I created signage designs and mockups while maintaining open communication with production staff and management in Goulburn. I also produced signs in the Canberra office using our plotter and large-format printer, contributing directly to the in-house production capabilities and ensuring client projects were delivered efficiently. -

I produced print and production ready artwork files across liquor and perfume campaigns, and national retail and hospitality franchise signage rollouts for clients including Proctor & Gamble, Krispy Kremes, Gloria Jeans and Mad Mex. This included creating artwork approval documents for client sign-off. Additionally, I was running up to 6 large format printers. There were many ‘spinning plates’ to manage between myself and one co-worker in this role! -
